file-22-Grandma-of-Obama

Sara Omar, grandma of US President Barack Obama, has emphasized the significance of the Prophet Muhammad exhibition in Makkah and said it reflects the moderate teachings of Islam that calls for tolerance and rejects violence.
Sara has come to Makkah with her son Saeed Obama, uncle of President Obama and her grandson Mousa Obama to perform Umrah.
She commended the Saudi government’s efforts to expand the two holy mosques.
Sara and her family members visited the Prophet’s show, which is located in the Naseem district of Makkah, for two hours. “I am very happy to visit this exhibition, which is a good example for the propagation of Islam in a modern way, supported by scientific and authentic documents.”
Obama’s grandma also expressed hope that the exhibition would visit other countries with the support of the Saudi government in order to remove the misunderstandings about the divine religion.

Sulaiman’s Decision

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “There were two women, each had her child with her. A wolf came and took away the child of one of them. One woman said to her companion: ‘The wolf has taken your son.’ The other said: ‘It has taken your son.’ So both of them took the dispute to Prophet Dawud (David) (alaihis salam) who judged that the boy should be given to the older lady. Then they went to Prophet Sulaiman (Solomon) (alaihis salam), son of Dawud, and put the case before him. Prophet Sulaiman said: ‘Give me a knife so that I may cut the child into two and give one half to each of you.’ The younger woman said: ‘Do not do so; may Allah bless you! He is her child.’ On that Prophet Sulaiman decided the case in favour of the younger woman.” [Sahih Bukhari] Read the rest of this entry »

Bribery

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Allah Most High says,

{And do not eat up your property among yourselves for vanities, nor use it as a bait for the judges, with intent that ye may eat up wrongfully and knowingly a little of (other) people’s property.} (Al-Baqarah: 188)

Muslims are prohibited to bribe a judge or a public officer to unfairly obtain a decision in favor of one’s self against a rival or to unlawfully consume the property of others while they are aware of the prohibition of this act.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“Allah’s curse is on the one who offers the bribe and on the judge who accepts it.” (Tirmidhi)

On the authority of ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that,

“The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) cursed the one who offers the bribe and the one who receives it.” (Tirmidhi)

However, the Muslim scholars affirm that bribery is prohibited when it is aimed at consuming other’s property or rights unfairly. Thus, if someone finds himself in a situation in which all avenues of redressing a wrong done him, or recovering a right which has been forfeited, are blocked except through the payment of a bribe, the sin of it will not be on him but on the recipient of the bribe.

Another narration of the hadith explains that

“The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) cursed also the one who arranges for the payment of a bribe. ” Read the rest of this entry »
