Allah has given the work of the Prophet to those who follows Prophet Muhammad saw. In the Quran Allah said in the approximate meaning, Oh Muhammad, tell your followers, that this my path,(way) to call peoples to Allah with full conviction and this is my path and the path(way) of those who follows me. Allah has given the work of calling peoples to Allah to Prophet Muhammad saw and to all who follows him. Those who follows Prophet Muhammad saw are known as the Prophet saw followers or Umat. Allah said in the Quran with the approximate meaning, you are the best Umat being sent to the entire mankind, because you invite peoples to good and you prevent peoples from evil and you believe in Allah. Allah call the followers of Prophet Muhammad saw as Umat, because this Umat will becomes the means upon which the whole mankind will obtain guidance and blessing of Allah when the followers of Prophet Muhammad saw are doing the work of inviting peoples to Good and preventing peoples from doing evils. What is the meaning of good in the above verse? Good means to be able to recite the Great Kalimah, that I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah and to be able to obey all the orders of Allah in the ways of Prophet Muhammad saw. What is the meaning of evils in the above verse? Evils means not to be able or refuse  to recite the Great Kalimah, that I bear witness there is no God except Allah and I bear witness, Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah and not able or refuse to obey all the orders of Allah in the ways of Prophet Muhammad saw. Many do not understand what it really means by the good and evils mention in the verse. Many interpret evils as acts of promiscuity, illicit sex and all other related sexual abuse behaviours. None has ever interpreted it as disinclination to recite the Great Kalimah and the disobedience to obey the first and the second order of Allah which is to deliver the Great Kalimah to those who have verbalised the Great Kalimah and to perform the five times prayers with congregation. Our Islamic authorities do form groups known as “Pencegah Maksiat” to combat activities related to evils which we normally understand as acts of promiscuity and other acts of sexual abuses. Greatness of Allah

bn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) described the greatness of Allaah in the most beautiful way:

“He is controlling the affairs of all the kingdoms. He commands and prohibits, creates and gives provision, and gives death and gives life. He raises and lowers peoples status, alternates night and day, gives days (good and not so good) to men by turns, and causes nations to rise and fall, so that one nation vanishes and another emerges. His command and decree are carried out throughout the heavens and on earth, above it and below it, in the oceans and in the air. He has knowledge of all things and knows the number of all things. He hears all voices, and does not mistake one for another; He hears them all, in all the different languages and with all their varied requests and pleas. No voice distracts Him from hearing another, He does not confuse their requests, and He never tires of hearing the pleas of those in need. He sees all that is visible, even the walk of a black ant across a solid rock in the darkest night. Continue reading “Greatness of Allah”

Bismillah, alhamdulillah wa salat wa salam ala rasulullah, As-salam alaikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuh

1. Consider children a great bounty of Allah Ta’ala. Rejoice at their birth. Congratulate one another on their arrival. Welcome the children into this world with Du’aas of righteousness and blessings. Express your gratitude unto Allah Ta’ala for affording you the opportunity of nurturing a Muslim servant and also for allowing you to leave behind your worldly and religious successor. Make Du`aa that Allah Ta’ala makes this child an addition to the Muslim Ummah as a Da’i (inviter to Islam) and a true servant of the Deen. Continue reading “Advice”

War and Peace in the Quran

The Islamic relationship between individuals and nations is one of peace. War is a contingency that becomes necessary at certain times and under certain conditions. Muslims learn from the Qur’an that God’s objective in creating the human race in different communities was that they should relate to each other peacefully (Quran 49:13).

The objective of forming the family unit is to foster affection mercy, and that of creating a baby in its mother’s womb is to form bonds of blood and marriage between people:

It is He who created the human being from fluid, making relationships of blood and marriage. Quran 25:54 Continue reading “War and Peace in the Quran”
