560 Papers Submitted to Int’l Quran Competition

12 Jul

— Secretary of the research section of the 27th international holy Quran competition said 560 papers have been submitted to the secretariat of the research section.

Mohammad Mehrabi said this section has been highly welcomed and many university professors, seminary scholars and students have sent their research papers.

He added that papers by scholars from 17 other countries have also been received by the secretariat.

According to Mr. Mehrabi five papers will be selected by the scientific committee and awarded at the closing ceremony of the competition. Selected papers will also be published after the contest.

In the past, Iran’s annual international holy Quran competition used to be held in the categories of memorization, recitation and interpretation. But since three years ago, the interpretation category has been replaced by the research category.

Iran’s 27th international Quran Competition will be held in Tehran by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization from July 9 to 14.
